Based in Central Mumbai, our boutique Palav stocks exclusive Bandhani sarees, chaniya cholis, dress materials and borders with contemporary and traditional designs.

Our main aim is to keep this four centuries-old art of Kutch alive and serve as its ambassadors by bringing our customers a combination of the best designs, auspicious colors and high quality fabrics and make our products every woman's treasured possession.

Our Bandhni sarees, Gharcholas, Chaniya Cholis, dress materials and other products are created by the artisans in Kutch who use the traditional method discovered by the ancestors called "Bandhej" or "tie and dye". To create the Bandhani designs, the Bandhej process involves tightly tying a string or "dori" around certain areas of the fabric and then dipping it in to a dye. After a short while, the fabric is taken out of the dye and the string is removed. On opening the fabric, you will see that the areas covered by the string have retained their original color while the rest of the fabric has been dyed. By repeating the process, the artisans create fabrics with multiple hues and designs.

The fabrics used for our Bandhani products are intricately woven by our master weavers using their looms and the entire "bandhej" or "tie and dye" process is performed exclusively by the artisans' hands. Therefore, each and every Bandhani product available at our store is exclusive and no two pieces can ever be the same.
